Last week, LEARN submitted public witness testimony to the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies (LHHS). in the testimony, LEARN requested no less than $900 million for IES overall with $291.9 million dedicated to the Research, Development and Dissemination (RD&D) line item and $71.6 million for the National Center for Special Education Research (NCSER). Within the National Institutes of Health (NIH), LEARN also requested that $1.87 billion go towards NICHD and $2.54 billion go towards NIMH.
