On April 19, 2023, LEARN sent policy recommendations to the Chair and Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Health, Education Labor and Pensions in response to the Committee’s request for information regarding the reauthorization of the Education Science Reform Act (ESRA). LEARN submitted several recommendations regarding the Institute of Education Sciences’ (IES’) structure and everyday operations, the National Board for Education Sciences (NBES), and the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Federal education research.
