On November 28, 2022, LEARN wrote the Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), Shalanda Young, and advocated for robust increases for agencies whose work deals with education research for fiscal year (FY) 2024. Specifically, LEARN called for increases for greater funding for the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) at the U.S. Department of Education (ED), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Center for Special Education Research (NCSER), the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) and the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).
