LEARN wrote the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate Leadership Members overseeing the COVID relief funding. In the letter, LEARN recognizes the efforts to mitigate the impacts of this pandemic and provide financial relief to many through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. It also acknowledges the significant COVID-19 related financial pressures are impacting and unfortunately jeopardizing Institution of Education Sciences (IES) funded research. As a result, LEARN requested $75 million in supplemental appropriations to support research programs under IES that have been negatively impacted by COVID-19.
