LEARN wrote to Representative Bobby Scott, the chair of the Education and Labor Committee in the House of Representatives. In the letter, LEARN thanks Rep. Scott for the inclusion of $100 million for IES in the Committee’s reconciliation bill. This additional funding will allow IES to conduct research on the education tools needed to respond to COVID-19’s learning loss. LEARN applauds the inclusion of this funding in the House of Representatives reconciliation bill and believes it will be key in ensuring that the education recovery from COVID-19 is based on research and evidence-based practice.
